Testatika is structured around a journey to the small Christian community of Methernitha. The Swiss community attempted to devise a free energy generator called the Testatika machine, which has become an icon representing the communities independence and autonomy. This 20-minute video alternates between footage of a journey to Methernitha and interviews with free energy researchers in New Hampshire (USA), Newcastle (UK) and Bern (Switzerland).

Testatika was commissioned by Scottish Screen, Cineworks and the Cornerhouse (Manchester) and screened at the LUX Open, Cork International Film Festival and Edinburgh International Film Festival and as part of About Belief at the South London Gallery and Fundamentalisms of the New Order at the Charlottenborg Exhibition Hall, Copenhagen,

In the 1950’s a group of Swiss citizens came together to establish a new self-sufficient community high in the Emmental valley. Their idealistic vision, of an independent community free of alcohol, nicotine and drugs and dedicated to the ideal of mutual sharing of resources, remained intact for over 30 years.
